Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for an assigned group of patients on the medical-surgical unit. You will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, and apply critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (day shift)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient health data; develop and implement individualized care plans
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff members
- Provide direct patient care and health education to patients and families
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate and coordinate healthcare team duties
- Collaborate with patients, families, and providers in a safe, healing environment
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
