Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department. You'll deliver coordinated care to patients across the acuity spectrum, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for assigned patients using the nursing process
- Supervise and direct nursing staff activities
- Collect and analyze patient data to identify care needs and guide interventions
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans
- Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
- Educate patients and families
- Delegate appropriately and communicate with the healthcare team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent emergency or acute care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
