Position Overview
The facility seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team, conducting comprehensive assessments and directing evidence-based treatment plans.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Instruct and supervise speech-language pathology assistants and support staff in accordance with national and state Practice Acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care planning
- Collect and analyze patient outcome data to guide treatment modifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of recent speech-language pathology experience
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
