Emergency Department – RN (Night Shift)
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and deliver coordinated, high-acuity nursing care while supervising and directing nursing staff and collaborating across disciplines.
Clinical Scope
In this role, you will:
- Assess patients, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
- Supervise various levels of nursing staff and coordinate multidisciplinary team care
- Educate patients, families, and team members
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment in a fast-paced emergency environment
Requirements
- License: RN licensure in California (required)
- Experience: At least 2 years recent acute care experience (preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – current
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – current
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – current
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale – required
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
