Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical unit. You will deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient population, supervise and direct nursing staff activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.
Shift & Duration
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (night shift)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to identify diagnoses and care needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with prescribed interventions
- Coordinate care delivery across disciplines; promote health and safe environments
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust plans as needed
- Supervise and delegate to nursing staff; coordinate team activities
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers on care decisions
- Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- BLS certification (current, from approved vendor)
- ACLS certification (current, from approved vendor)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Additional acute care facility experience
