RN – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
Plan and deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. Direct patient education and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Schedule & Contract
- Full-time nights: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (6:00 pm–6:30 am)
- Every third weekend rotation
- Rotating holiday coverage
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license
- BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Experience preferred but not required
Pre-Employment Health & Compliance
Standard requirements include current immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, seasonal flu), negative TB screening, physical exam, drug screen, respiratory fit test, criminal background check, sex offender registry verification, and Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification. All documentation must be submitted within 5 business days prior to your start date.
