Oncology RN — Night Shift | Wichita, KS
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 4 x 12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Start: November 15, 2026
This Oncology unit in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced night-shift RN for a 13-week travel contract. The position covers every other weekend with no on-call requirements.
Unit & Clinical Scope
Nurses on this unit care for oncology patients across a range of diagnoses and treatment phases, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and supportive care. Candidates should be comfortable managing the complex needs of this patient population in an acute inpatient setting.
Float Requirement
Travelers should be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area as needs arise.
Schedule & Dress Code
- 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No call
- Guaranteed hours: 48
- Ceil blue scrubs
Requirements
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required for submission)
- Current skills checklist and two professional references required at submission
- EKG competency exam required at onboarding
- Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB screening)
- 11-panel drug screen, background check, and employment verification required at onboarding
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Oncology RN experience preferred
