Oncology Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced oncology nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a night shift position working 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend, with no call required.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 4 × 12-hour nights
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs
Clinical Role
You'll provide direct patient care on the oncology unit, supporting patients undergoing cancer treatment and managing related complications. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, patient assessment, symptom management, and collaboration with the oncology care team.
Float Expectations
Be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area as needed.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kansas)
- License verification
- Required onboarding health screening: MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), and fit testing
- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- EPLS certification
- EKG competency
Contract Terms
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
- Start Date: November 15, 2026
