Oncology Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Oncology Nurses for a 13-week contract assignment in Wichita, KS. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) working four 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend scheduled and no call responsibilities.
Schedule & Staffing
- 4 x 12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Every other weekend; no call
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 15, 2026
- Float pool position: You may be assigned to similar oncology units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita
Clinical Environment
You'll provide direct patient care in an oncology setting, supporting patients undergoing cancer treatment and management.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license (verification via Nursys required at submission)
- BLS/ACLS and other standard healthcare certifications
- Immunizations per facility protocol (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening)
- Fit test and health screening clearance
- Background check and employment verification
- Two professional references
Onboarding
Standard facility onboarding includes orientation to EHR systems, unit-specific competencies, EKG exam, and core competencies training.
