Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for a night shift role in Wichita, KS. This is a 13-week contract assignment.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Days: Every other weekend
- Call: None required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Role Expectations
You'll provide direct patient care on a med-surg unit, managing a mixed-acuity patient population. You may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or other campuses within Wichita to support staffing needs.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required at submission)
- Professional references and skills verification
- Standard compliance items: background check, drug screen, vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap), TB screening, and fit testing completed during onboarding
- EPLS certification
- EKG competency
What to Expect
You'll use the facility's EHR system and wear ceil blue scrubs. Onboarding includes core competency assessments and system training. This role offers stability with no on-call obligations and a predictable weekend rotation.
