Operating Room – Circulator | Travel Contract | Oakland, CA

Shift: Days, 3x12-Hour (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Contract Duration: 15 weeks (Winter coverage: November through late February)

Start Date: November 16, 2026

This travel OR Circulator position supports a busy surgical department handling a broad range of specialties and acuity levels. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Clinical Scope

The OR team performs procedures across multiple surgical services, including:

• ENT (septoplasty, rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy, mastoidectomy, radical neck dissection)
• General surgery (laparoscopic and open cases, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, appendectomy)
• GYN (hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, laparoscopic gynecological procedures)
• Neurosurgery (craniotomy, spinal fusion, laminectomy, VP shunt insertion)
• Oral/maxillofacial surgery (adult and pediatric dentistry, jaw repair, TMJ arthroplasty)
• Orthopedics, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, and more

Scheduling

• Every other weekend required
• On-call as needed
• Two of three major holidays required
• 7 days of RTO auto-approved outside blackout periods (Nov 22–30; Dec 21–Jan 4)
• Float within the facility as needed

Requirements

• 5 years of OR experience with strong Circulator background
• ACLS, BLS, and valid California RN license (required at submission)
• BSN preferred
• Valid CA license required; candidates must reside 75+ miles from the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• 2 supervisor references preferred
