Medical-Surgical RN | Sioux City, IA | 13-Week Contract
This Med-Surg travel opportunity is based in Sioux City, Iowa, on a general medicine unit with the possibility of floating to additional medical-surgical floors within the same discipline.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36- or 48-hour week options available
- Every other weekend required
- Travelers must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limited time-off requests between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
Unit Details
- General medicine patient population
- Navy blue scrubs
- Float potential to sister med-surg units within the facility system
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license or compact license (Nursys verified)
- 2+ years of Med-Surg experience (required)
- Electronic health record experience (required)
- Heparin drip experience (preferred)
- Active BLS — AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted
- Skills Checklist specific to Med-Surg (required)
- Supervisory reference completed within the last 2 years (required)
- Driver's license (required)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers welcome
Additional Notes
- Candidates must not have been employed (FTE or PRN) at this health system within the past 12 months
