Medical-Surgical Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Every third weekend
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
The Role
You'll provide direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit managing orthopedic, urological, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients. Your responsibilities include administering heparin, PCA, and epidural medications (chemotherapy if certified), and delivering high-acuity care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of medical-surgical and/or oncology nursing experience
- Active BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificate)
- Active ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificate)
- Active NIHSS certification (can be obtained during onboarding)
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
- High-acuity care experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome

- Navy blue scrubs
- Orientation: November 9, 2026
- Winter holiday commitment: Required to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limit of 1 day off between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
- Non-local candidates only (must be at least 50 miles from facility based on driver's license)
