Medical-Surgical & Oncology Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking experienced Med-Surg and Oncology nurses to join the interdisciplinary care team. You'll provide direct patient care across a diverse surgical and medical patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every third weekend
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• 13-week contract
• Orientation dates: November 9, November 23, December 7

Clinical Scope

You'll care for orthopedic, urologic, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients. Clinical responsibilities include administering heparin, PCA, and epidural infusions (required); chemotherapy administration if certified. High-acuity care experience is preferred.

Staffing & Float

You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience
• Active BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
• Active ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military)
• Active NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding)
• Valid driver's license
• Current supervisory reference (within 2 years)
• First-time travelers welcome; prior travel experience preferred

Holiday Requirements

You will be required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). Maximum 1 day off request during November 25–29 and December 23–27.

Note: Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
