Emergency Room RN — Simi Valley, CA

Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36–48 Hours/Week | 18-Week Contract

This Emergency Department position is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment. The unit manages a diverse patient population requiring rapid assessment, intervention, and critical thinking across a broad range of emergent and urgent conditions.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 36- or 48-hour week availability
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Holiday RTO will not be approved

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement interventions, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and evaluate patient progress
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote safe, patient-centered outcomes
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing staff

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license in California
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• PALS (AHA or ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM/TEAM-A) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department or acute care experience
• BSN preferred
• Prior experience with electronic health record documentation required
