Med Surg

Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Sioux City, IA

This 13-week contract places you on a general medical-surgical unit caring for a diverse Gen Med patient population. The role involves night shift hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with weekly commitments of 36 or 48 hours depending on the contract terms.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1900 start)
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement: may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses (units 4A and 5A)
• Holiday coverage: must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limited time-off requests during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27

Clinical Details

• General medical-surgical patient population

• Heparin drip experience a plus

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience (required)
• Active Iowa or compact RN license — must reflect "Active" status (required)
• BLS certification — AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted (required)
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years (required)
• Med-Surg–specific skills checklist (required)
• Valid driver's license (required)
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
