Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with varied days and every other weekend required. Must be willing to relocate or live within 100 miles of the facility.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide comprehensive respiratory care under physician prescription, including diagnostic evaluation and management of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. While the facility does not operate a dedicated NICU, you will stabilize neonates and provide ventilatory support until transport arrives. Responsibilities span all care settings and include:
- Obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens; interpreting cardiopulmonary data
- Performing diagnostic testing and studies of the cardiopulmonary system
- Managing mechanical ventilatory support and artificial airway care
- Administering bronchopulmonary hygiene and respiratory pharmacological agents
- Monitoring medical gases and environmental control systems
- Supporting cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular care
Required Credentials
- RRT credentials
- ABG License
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- NICU experience required
Contract Details
- 13-week assignment
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required
