Registered Nurse – OR
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care in the operating room. You will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate with the surgical team, and apply critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
- 5 days per week
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to inform perioperative care plans
- Develop and implement care interventions aligned with established nursing standards
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing team members
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists to ensure safe care delivery
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care strategies as needed
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate healthcare team duties
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Current BLS/CPR certification (approved vendor)
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Perioperative nursing experience
