Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Travel Nurse

Position Overview
Join the medical-surgical/telemetry unit as a night shift travel nurse. You'll provide direct patient care to cardiac, stroke, and general medical patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36-hour weekly guarantee
- Weekends: Every other weekend (required)
- Float: Required to adjacent units as needed
- Orientation: October 26 or November 9, 2024
- Start: November 9, 2024
Clinical Environment
- Patient Population: Cardiac, stroke, and general medical patients
- Acuity: High-acuity night shift care
- Key Medications: Proficiency required with Cardiazem, Nitro, Heparin titration, and Amiodarone
Requirements
- 2+ years medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing assignment(s)
- Active Iowa RN license (or compact state)
- Current BLS (AHA preferred)
- Current ACLS (AHA preferred)
- Current NIHSS certification
- Valid driver's license
- Supervisory reference from within the last 2 years
Additional Details
- Scrubs: Navy blue
- Holiday Commitment: Must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limit 1 day off request per holiday window
- Candidate Location: Must live at least 50 miles from facility (based on driver's license address)
