Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Simi Valley, CA

This 18-week contract opportunity places an experienced Emergency Department RN on a busy night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) in Simi Valley, California. Shifts are 12-hour nights with guaranteed hours of 36 per week; 48-hour weeks are also available. Please note that holiday RTO will not be approved.

Unit Overview

The ED team manages a diverse patient population across the full spectrum of emergency acuity, including neurological emergencies requiring stroke scale assessment and patients requiring behavioral/aggression management interventions. Nurses are expected to collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN licensure in California
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• PALS (AHA or ARC)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required; ED experience strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Electronic health record proficiency required
