Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry Travel Nurse — Sioux City, IA

This 13-week contract places you on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit managing a cardiac, stroke, and general medical patient population. The role is fast-paced and requires confidence with drip titration and telemetry monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend required
• Float to sister units within the same discipline required; floating across local campuses may also be requested

Clinical Requirements

• 2+ years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Heparin (titration), and Amiodarone
• Active Iowa RN license or compact license (must reflect Active status)
• Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS Certification

Additional Details

• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Holiday obligation: Must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limited time-off requests during the holiday blackout windows
• Non-local candidates only — must reside 50+ miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Candidates who have worked as an FTE or PRN at this health system within the past 12 months are ineligible
