Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Position Overview
Join the surgical team at the facility in Hanford, CA, as a Registered Nurse in the operating room. You'll deliver coordinated nursing care, supervise assigned nursing staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership capability, and a commitment to safe, patient-centered care.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM, 10-hour days
- Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4 x 10)
- Call: Alternating first and second call on Fridays; weekend call approximately every 5–6 weeks
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience required
- Current BLS certification (approved vendor)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- PALS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Operating room experience and da Vinci surgical system experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct surgical nursing care aligned with established standards
- Assess patient data, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team members
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support team members
