Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVIPCU) — Travel RN | Denver, CO

This is a 13-week travel contract on a specialized Pediatric Cardiac ICU, caring for medical neonates and congenital heart patients. The unit functions in close partnership with the PICU, providing significant resources and team support throughout every shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

The unit serves a complex congenital cardiac population, including post-operative and critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients. Typical procedures and responsibilities include:

• Post-op care with inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
• IVF management and chest tube care
• Post-sternotomy and open chest patient management
• Moderate sedation
• ECMO support (unit serves as the ECMO center)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT experience
• ECMO bedside experience
