Travel RN – Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU) | Denver, CO

Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Contract

This Pediatric Cardiac ICU is a specialized unit dedicated to the care of congenital cardiac and medically complex neonatal patients. The unit functions in close partnership with the PICU, offering a collaborative, resource-rich environment supported by a seasoned nursing team with an average of 10 years of experience in pediatric and cardiac critical care.

Clinical Scope & Procedures

• Post-operative cardiac care including post-sternotomy and open-chest management
• Inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions
• IV fluid management and chest tube care
• Moderate sedation
• Support for ECMO and renal replacement therapy (CRRT, peritoneal dialysis)

Unit Details

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Contract: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience (required by unit director)
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT and/or peritoneal dialysis experience
• ECMO bedside experience
