Emergency Department RN
Position Overview
Join the emergency department at the facility as a Registered Nurse. You'll provide care to a diverse patient population across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics—in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts (12:00 PM – 12:30 AM)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; may exceed to meet unit needs
- Holiday Commitment: Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Guaranteed Hours: Called off no more than once per two-week pay period
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers considered)
- Current RN license (Compact license required at submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Community hospital experience preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll manage acute and complex patient presentations including trauma, stroke, and STEMI cases. Essential skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring. The department handles all differential diagnoses with support from respiratory, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
