Registered Nurse – Oncology/Urology Clinic

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Oncology RN for an outpatient urology clinic. You'll deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting, managing approximately 30–40 patient visits daily across five treatment rooms.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Weekends: No weekend requirement
• Float: Yes, you may float to support clinic needs
• On-Call: No
• Scheduling: No requests can be accommodated; flexibility required

Clinical Scope

You'll care for patients with urology and oncology diagnoses including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, as well as benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, and urinary obstructions. Clinical responsibilities include:

• Cysto procedures and bladder scanning
• Foley and suprapubic catheter management and insertion
• Post-void trials
• IV starts and maintenance
• Phlebotomy
• Medication tolerance and sepsis assessment
• Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values
• Telephone

Requirements

• License: Active California RN license (must be in hand at submission; no pending or temporary licenses)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years nursing; at least 1 year oncology (5 years preferred)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS and ONS/ONCC preferred
• Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• References: Two supervisor-level references from the past year required at time of application
