Position Overview

The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced surgical nurse for a 12-week contract. You'll support a busy multi-specialty surgical program including gynecological, general, orthopedic, spine, urological, and plastic procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Call: Approximately 5 shifts per month (dependent on skill set)
• Floating: Within your scope of practice and to other facility locations as needed
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Start Date: November 9, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (first-time travelers considered)
• Current RN licensure (Georgia or Compact license)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Clinical screening completed prior to manager interview

Scope of Practice

You'll support a broad range of surgical cases including hysterectomies, joint replacements, spine fusions, abdominal procedures, urological cases, breast surgery, and reconstructive work. The unit serves patients across all ages—pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

• Maximum 7 days request time off per contract (finalize at time of submission)
• Holiday work expectations apply if holidays fall during your assignment
• Full compliance required prior to start
• Orientation hours included (non-billable, based on contract length)
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV services, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
