Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV

13-Week Contract | 4×12 Nights (19:00–07:00)

This acute care med-surg unit with telemetry capability serves adult patients across a broad range of medical conditions. The unit is well-supported, with interdisciplinary resources including respiratory services, IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy available to staff. Clinical nurse coordinators lead each shift, conducting daily huddles and managing patient flow.

Schedule

• 4×12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Start date: ASAP | 13-week contract with extension potential

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all through the American Heart Association)

Licensure

• West Virginia RN license or Compact license required; pending license accepted at time of submission

Clinical Skills Expected

• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Central line and PICC line care
• Blood product administration, heparin protocols
• Chest tube management, tracheostomy care
• Wound care/wound vac, surgical drains
• Pre/post cardiac cath and hemodialysis management
• PCA management, ABG interpretation
• CVA/stroke patient care

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the facility
• Attendance expectations are firm: no more than 2–3 call-offs for the duration of the contract
• Orientation: 12 hours, held every other Monday
• Scrubs: candidate-provided
