Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
Join the surgical team at the facility in Derry, NH, for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) in a 4-room operating suite performing a broad range of surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Active NH State License
- BLS Certification
- 2+ years of hospital-based OR experience
- Recent OR experience required
- CNOR certification preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll circulate for diverse surgical specialties including robotic-assisted procedures (prostate, hysterectomy), orthopedic surgery (shoulders, knees, hips, trauma), gynecological procedures (laparoscopic, robotic, open), general surgery, ENT, podiatry, and spine procedures (fusions, laminectomies, ACDF). You'll work alongside 5 RNs and 6 surgical technologists in a collaborative environment.
Scheduling & Flexibility
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every 5–6 weekends
- One on-call night per week (M–F, 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Float to endoscopy as needed
What to Expect
The facility values flexibility and a positive attitude. Grey scrubs are provided and laundered daily by the hospital. This is a high-acuity surgical setting with Joint Commission certification in joint procedures and Unit of Distinction recognition.
