Physical Therapist Assistant – Inpatient Rehab
Position Overview
Join the inpatient physical therapy team in Manchester, NH for an 12-week contract. You'll work in a busy acute care rehabilitation setting, evaluating and treating patients across a variety of diagnoses with a dedicated, experienced clinical team.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (flexible start between 7:00–8:00 AM)
- Days: Monday–Friday, plus one self-selected weekend shift per month
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
Clinical Scope
This inpatient unit manages high volumes of cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic patients in the acute care setting. You'll perform evaluations and treatments, typically carrying 10 patients per 8-hour day. Daily assignments keep you focused on 1–2 floors, supporting continuity of care. Vestibular experience is preferred but not required.
Floating & Coverage
The department covers all inpatient units and the emergency department (excluding NICU).
Requirements
- License: Current NH Physical Therapy License (must be in hand at time of application)
- Certification: BLS
- Experience: Acute care background preferred
Work Environment
- Scrubs (no color restriction)
- Standard rehabilitation equipment including parallel bars, stairs, ceiling lifts, and transfer aids
- Collaborative team with extensive experience across multiple settings
