Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Lab Technician — Glenwood Springs, CO

Shift: Evening | 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM | 4 x 10-hour shifts, weekdays only

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: December 13, 2026

This laboratory position focuses on specimen collection and processing, along with chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic testing using both manual and automated equipment. The role carries a strong emphasis on microbiology, and candidates must bring demonstrated expertise in that area.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist or Technician
• Minimum 5 years of microbiology plate reading and/or microbiology supervisory experience — required
• Microbiology proficiency is mandatory; candidates without this background will not be considered

Credentials — one of the following:

• Medical Lab Technician: Associate degree + current ASCP or AMT registration
• Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist): Bachelor's degree + current ASCP or AMT registration

Schedule Highlights:

• 4 x 10-hour weekday shifts
• No weekends
• No on-call

Additional Requirements:

• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required October 1 – April 1 (no exemptions)
• Colorado CAPS registration required — allow up to two weeks to obtain prior to start
