Hematology/Oncology Clinic Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced hematology/oncology nurse for a clinic-based role. This is a 13-week contract position working 10-hour days, Monday through Friday (8 AM – 6:30 PM), with no weekend or holiday requirements. You'll work 72 guaranteed hours biweekly.

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care and for hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include:

• Patient and assessment
• Administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments
• Coordinating patient care across the care team
• Authorizing diagnostic imaging (PET scans)
• Managing medication renewals
• Responding to patient questions and concerns
• Completing FMLA paperwork and administrative documentation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of hematology/oncology or outpatient infusion nursing experience
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification
• Heavy experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• No float requirement

Eligibility Requirements

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates who have worked at this facility within the past year must wait one year before reapplying
