Medical ICU – Registered Nurse

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract Duration: 14 weeks

Start Date: October 5, 2026

About the Role

The facility's Medical ICU is a fast-paced, high-acuity unit caring for critically ill patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, alcohol use disorder, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. You'll provide direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
• Assess, monitor, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Follow infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of ICU/critical care experience
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CCRN certification preferred
