Surgical Technologist – Cardiac & General Surgery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team on a 13-week contract. You'll work rotating 10-hour shifts (7 AM–5 PM) across multiple surgical specialties, with guaranteed 72 hours biweekly.
Clinical Scope
You'll support cardiac and general surgical procedures, including open heart cases. Responsibilities include instrument preparation, sterile field management, and intraoperative assistance in a fast-paced OR environment.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- NBSTSA certification and verification required
- Demonstrated open heart surgical experience
- Flu vaccination required prior to start (no declinations)
- Must be separated from previous employment at this facility for 6+ months (applies to permanent, per diem, and contract roles)
- Relocation required (local candidates not considered)
