Med/Surg Travel Nurse – Night Shift | Wichita, KS
This is a 13-week travel contract on a Medical/Surgical unit in Wichita, KS, with a night shift schedule of 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week.
Assignment Details
- Shift: Nights, 4 × 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
- Every other weekend required; no on-call
- Scrubs: Ceil blue
- Float: May be required to similar units on the same campus or another campus within Wichita
Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
- License/Certificate Verification required at submission
- EKG competency exam required for onboarding
- Color vision assessment required for onboarding
- Skills checklist required at submission
- Two professional references required at submission
Health & Compliance Requirements
- MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza vaccine
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Fit test and health statement
- 11-panel drug screen
- Criminal background check
- Employment and education verification
Ideal Candidate
- Solid Med/Surg experience with comfort managing general acute care patients
- EKG interpretation skills
- Ability to adapt across similar units in a multi-campus environment
