Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Wichita, KS
This 13-week contract (with potential for extension based on a 90-week order) places you in a Medical-Surgical unit on a 4x12 night schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. No on-call responsibilities.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 4 x 12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 8, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per period
- Scrubs: Ceil blue
- Float: May be required to float to like units on the same campus or a sister campus within Wichita
Clinical Scope
You'll care for a general medical-surgical patient population in an acute care setting. The unit expects strong foundational nursing skills, EKG interpretation competency, and point-of-care glucose testing proficiency — all assessed during onboarding.

Onboarding Requirements Include
- EKG competency exam
- Core competency assessment
- Point-of-care glucose testing validation
- Standard immunization documentation (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, TB screening)

- 11-panel drug screen
- Background check and employment/education verification
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Med-Surg RN comfortable with a fast-paced acute care environment and occasional cross-campus floating in the Wichita area.
