Medical-Surgical RN — Nights | Wichita, KS

This 13-week contract (with potential for 90 weeks) places you on a Medical-Surgical unit in Wichita, KS. The position begins November 8, 2026.

Shift Details

• 4 x 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Guaranteed 48 hours per contract period

Unit & Practice Setting

You'll work on a Medical-Surgical unit caring for a general acute-care patient population. Float coverage may be required to comparable units on the same campus or at another campus within Wichita. Ceil blue scrubs are required.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
• Valid nursing license/certificate verification
• Completed skills checklist (required at submission)
• Two professional references

Onboarding Requirements

• Core competency assessment and EKG exam
• Color vision screening
• POC glucometry competency
• Standard immunization documentation: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
• Two-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
• Fit testing, health statement, and 11-panel drug screen
• Criminal background check and education/employment verification

Ideal Candidate

Nurses with solid Medical-Surgical experience, comfort floating within a multi-campus system, and the ability to hit the ground running on nights will thrive in this role.
