Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its emergency department. This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Call: None
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs

Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. Float assignments to other units on the same campus or alternate campuses within Wichita are required.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• License verification
• ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Onboarding Requirements

You will complete facility-specific competency assessments, EKG training, specialty exams, and immunization verification (MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza, Tdap, Varicella, tuberculosis screening via PPD or IGRA). A background check, fit test, and driver's license verification are also required.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Start Date: November 8, 2026
