Emergency Department Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Wichita, Kansas. You'll work nights (shift details below) in a fast-paced acute care setting managing a diverse patient population across all acuity levels.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Schedule: 4 x 10 hour shifts; every other weekend
• Call: None required
• Float: You may be asked to float to similar units on the same campus or another campus within the Wichita area.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Kansas or compact state)
• BLS certification
• All onboarding requirements must be completed prior to or during your first week. These include health screenings (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB testing), CPR/ACLS verification, drug screening, and facility-specific competency assessments.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Start Date: November 8, 2026

What to Expect

You'll work in a high-volume emergency setting treating acute illnesses and injuries. The role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to multitask, and a collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams.

Blue scrubs required.
