Certified Surgical Technologist – 8-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You'll work in a fast-paced surgical environment supporting vascular, breast, and general surgical procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- 8-hour day shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- On-call: 2–3 days per week, including every other weekend
- 13-week contract
- Must be willing to relocate or commute 100+ miles
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with focus on precision and safety
- Sterilize and maintain surgical equipment to protocol standards
- Assemble both routine and emergency case carts
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA Certification (CST) – current and valid
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience
- Over 2 years specialized experience in vascular and breast surgery
- Demonstrated proficiency with:
- Laparoscopic hiatal hernia repairs
- Endovascular procedures
- Breast oncology procedures
- BLS certification (current)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
