Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced nurse for a 12-hour shift assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment managing a range of acuities, from urgent to emergent presentations.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
- Days: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 Emergency Department experience
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass a Telemetry Assessment on Day 1 (84% or above)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Preferred Experience
- Previous travel nurse assignments
- Critical care background
