Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work a 10-hour evening rotation with short call, weekend call, and night call responsibilities.

Clinical Environment

You'll support a high-volume OR serving patients across multiple specialties: orthopedics (joint replacements, sports medicine), general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, oncology, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic surgery, and interventional pulmonology. This is a teaching hospital setting with exposure to complex, high-acuity cases.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• 1–3 years of related work experience
• Strong orthopedic and total joint experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification

Key Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (excludes on-call time)
• Start Date: ASAP (minimum 4 weeks for compliance)
• Orientation: Weekly, every Monday
• Scrubs: Required
• Float Pool: No
• Relocation Requirement: Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Eligibility: Candidates who worked at this facility within the last six months are not eligible; six-month separation required
