PCU / Stepdown

PCU Travel Nurse — Night Shift | Burlington, MA

26-Week Contract | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

This Progressive Care Unit handles a diverse, acuity-driven patient population requiring close monitoring and skilled intervention. Clinicians in this role must be proficient in titrating pressors and comfortable managing high-acuity medical-surgical patients. Prior experience with trauma or complex inpatient populations is a strong asset.

Schedule & Hours

• 12-hour night shifts with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
• Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shift staff)
• Weekly start dates (Mondays); contract start: November 9, 2026

Float Requirements

• May be required to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
• Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during the shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• Ability to titrate pressors
• EMR experience required
• Minimum 6 months separated from any prior role at this facility (permanent, per diem, or contract)
• Day-one pass/fail competency testing; practice materials provided in advance

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification
• Trauma experience strongly preferred; required if no prior travel nursing experience
