Physical Therapist Assistant – Lamar, CO

Position Overview

We're seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. You'll work with patients across the lifespan—from newborns to elderly—implementing treatment plans, collecting intervention data, and adjusting care to optimize patient safety, comfort, and functional progress.

Clinical Setting

You'll work in a modern, well-equipped rehabilitation gymnasium. The environment is clean, temperature-controlled, and designed to support evidence-based physical therapy practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement assigned intervention components and treatments
• Collect and document data related to patient progress
• Make modifications to interventions to progress patients safely or address comfort concerns
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist, interdisciplinary team, patients, and families

Schedule & Duration

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• 13-week contract
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with current certificate
• Current Colorado state credentialing (Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; outpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate clinical equipment and adapt to diverse patient populations and treatment scenarios

Reports to the Rehabilitation Manager.
