Cardiac Cath Lab – Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC
Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday–Friday
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 30, 2026
About the Role
This Cardiac Cath Lab position supports a high-volume interventional program treating adult and geriatric patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmias, and other cardiac electrical disorders. First-time travelers are welcome.
Procedures & Clinical Scope
The lab performs 25–35 invasive cases per day, including:
- Balloon angioplasty, PCI, stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
- Left and right heart catheterization
- IMPELLA and IABP insertion
- Thrombectomy, OCT, ACIST, Swan-Ganz catheterization
- EP lab: device implantation, ablation, EP studies
- Peripheral vascular lab: fistulograms, AV fistula interventions, upper/lower extremity angiography, pedal access, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Conscious sedation
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday–Friday days; float may be required during surge periods
- Call: approximately one week of call over the contract period, including 24-hour on-call weekend shifts in rotation
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; community hospital background required
- Active BLS and ACLS
- RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (CI, R, or VI) strongly preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
- Active license must be in hand at submission
- No candidates within 50-mile radius of facility
Scrubs: Hospital-designated scrubs and EKG lead placement skills required
