Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist
Location: Asheville, NC
Position Details:
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour days
- Start date: November 9, 2026
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
About the Role:
The facility is seeking an experienced CVOR Technologist to join the cardiovascular operating room team. You'll prepare instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, and anticipate surgeon needs in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and manage CVOR cases
- Maintain sterile field and instrument integrity
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team
- Monitor and manage equipment during procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
- Experience in CVOR or cardiac surgical settings
- Strong knowledge of cardiac instrumentation and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a demanding surgical environment
This is a hands-on role ideal for experienced CVOR techs seeking a focused contract assignment in a cardiac surgery program.
