Neuro ICU | Night Shift | Morgantown, WV
This 13-week travel contract places you in a Neuro ICU caring for high-acuity patients with complex neurological and critical care needs. The unit manages diagnoses including stroke, head bleeds, dialysis, ventriculostomy/EVD management, and other neuro disorders requiring intensive care.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights, 7 PM – 7 AM | 3 shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Preference and block scheduling accommodated based on unit needs
- Weekend requirement: 3 Saturday/Sunday shifts plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule
- Holiday coverage assigned as needed
- Cancellation policy: up to 2 shifts per contract
Clinical Environment
- Free charge nurse (not pulled from staffing)
- In-house intensivist coverage during the day; on-call at night with 24/7 APP support
- Respiratory therapy available around the clock; equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow, and nasal cannula
- Telemetry monitored remotely by a separate monitoring team
- Nurse aide support on the unit
Required Skills
- Active RN license (willing to wait for WV licensure)
- Drip titration required — vasopressors, sedation, paralytics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives
- Strong critical care and neuro ICU experience preferred
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
