Position: Emergency Department Nurse – Behavioral Health

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, four 12-hour nights per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Start Date: October 11, 2026

Unit Overview

You'll work in the facility's emergency department, supporting high-acuity behavioral health patients. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical assessment, de-escalation skills, and the ability to manage complex patient presentations.

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification via Nursys required)
• Proficiency with the electronic health record system
• EKG interpretation skills
• BLS/ACLS and current certifications
• Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
• Two-step TB screening (PPD or IGRA)
• Fit-tested N95 mask
• Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding assessments and background check

• Standard emergency department nursing duties with behavioral health focus
• Collaboration with psychiatry, social work, and crisis intervention teams
• Possible float support to adjacent units as needed
