Registered Nurse – Medical Step-Down
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Step-Down unit. You'll provide care to patients transitioning from acute illness, monitoring their progress and supporting their continued recovery in a structured, supportive environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Holiday and weekend rotation required
- 13-week contract
- Overtime available
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients requiring step-down level care
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition
- Apply critical thinking to address evolving patient needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of critical care or step-down nursing experience
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Professional nursing certifications recognized by the Magnet Association
- 2+ years of critical care or step-down experience
