Pharmacist
Clinical Pharmacist — Hospital Pharmacy | Richmond, VA
Day Shift | 36 Hours/Week | 24-Week Contract
This pharmacy role is based on a busy inpatient unit supporting high-acuity patient populations including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO. The position requires a pharmacist comfortable navigating complex clinical scenarios and applying advanced dosing protocols in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Primary shift: 06:00–14:30
- Additional coverage shifts available: evenings (14:30–01:00) and nights (20:30–07:00)
- No float requirement
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- IV and medication order verification
- IV compounding as needed
- Vancomycin AUC dosing and monitoring
- Aminoglycoside, renal, heparin, enoxaparin, and DOAC dosing
- Warfarin and electrolyte protocol management
Requirements
- Active Virginia State Pharmacist license
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Clinical experience with trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, or cardiac surgery patients
- Proficiency with IV verification workflow and pharmacy compounding
Dress Code
Silver/purple scrubs preferred
